Okay guys, I might be able to get some paint that's decent for pretty cheap. So far I've tried the paint, it shoots straight and the fill is pretty nasty. I'm guessing the cost to be 32-40 per 2000 rounds including tax. So far from the samples I've used, I haven't seen any busted paint. This is decent for practice paint and drills. It's definately not white box or seconds. We're going to test it a bit more thoroughly. If you like to try some, please feel free to message me and or leave a post and we'll tell you when it'll be available.

Actually this is new paint we're testing to bring into this market. This project will be to start the initial reviews and to allow players to choose the type of paint we'll be introducing to DFW. We're looking for a few people who would like to preorder a case or two to try and give feedback on.

Hehe, I can't give it away for free. But I'm willing to give it at cost just to get the name out and have you guys field test it. Also to let you guys know.

As for the practice paint, we're still talking to the manufacturer for that. So far we're in the green zone*cough cough*.

If this paint takes off, we will be looking for teams to sponsor to help get our store up and running. Keep that in mind everyone!

We're still working on the contract, but it'll be here soon. **crosses fingers**

Alright, we've got something worked out where you can get great tournament level paint for $50-60 plus tax. We're not talking about midlevel paint which can be used in Tippmanns and Spyders, but round, accurate, seamless, bright fill paint which can be played at tournaments for mid-high end markers. This paint itself is in the same quality category with Hellfire, Dynasty Dragon, Evil Ultra, Marballizers, XBall Gold, XO Veins, and All-Stars. We've also worked out a deal with the manufacturer that they're willing to do custom colors with custom fills for teams(minimum order required - exact minimum to be determined - discount will be available). If you're interested, post up or send us a message with name, phone number, and estimated case load, and we'll post you on our preorder list while we get everything finalized.

As for the cheap practice paint, we're still working on that. So keep watching this post for further details.

Alright guys, we just placed a small order of 20 cases a few minutes ago. So for everyone who wants to try this stuff out, it's $42.00(includes tax). This is premium quality paint. We already had one person comment on this paint, "Great. It was breaking on bandanas. Not hardly any bounces."

I have also tested it out on the chrony station. I was hitting a 1/2" thick rebar at about 30 yards 6 out of 10. The bore for the paint is .687. It's pretty bright as well.

After the initial 50 cases are sold, the price of the paint will go up a little.
$64.95(includes tax) for 1 case. If you buy 2+ cases, then you'll get a discounted rate of $58.00/case(includes tax). MSRP on the paint is at $75.00(not including tax).

So if you want some just message us and we'll set the amount you want aside for you. At $42 for premium paint, it's pretty hard to beat.

As for the cheap practice paint at $30, still some snags with the manufacturer, but we're working on it.

Dude that is CRAZY expensive. You can buy Evil for less than that. Not to be a dick, but $65 a case is nuts!

Does it taste good or something?

What makes it $20-$25 better????

$64.95 is if you want to just get one after the initial 50 cases are sold. If you get more than one case then it drops to $58.00 (53.70+4.30 tax)Personally I think it shoots better than evil. Since we're introducing it the offer for the first 50 available cases is at $42, not 47(sorry typo). Some people will be able to get a trial case for free*coughs*lithium*coughs*. And yes we're going to see if we can get the paint to be scented. More filling, tastes great! - This is for premium paint.

As for the cheaper practice paint for 30, that's still being worked on.

As for the "is it worth $58 question", get a case now for $42, try it, and if you think it's worth $58 then get more. If you don't think it's worth $58, then you don't have to get it. I'm confident $58 is a very reasonable price for the paint.

For marketing reasons. $65 for a brand nobody has heard of, even if it is up there in quality will still pose marketing problems for you. As you can see just from the forums, most people arent taking it well. I am up for trying out a case of paint (Funds right now are not cooperating), but honestly, if I can get a case of premium name brand paint for less than $50, why would I revert to a case of no-name brand that is more expensive.

Believe me, I have been in your position with other products, I am in Sales. You just have to realize that new products arent widely accepted as easily as a product that has established itself on the market for years.

I personally think that if you review your situation and work on pricing that can better establish the brand into the marketplace without chopping the heads off of your customers, you might find that in the long run you can establish a better, more loyal customer base. But also think about how you just advertised the paint, it went from $42 to $65, that shows a $23 increase. You only ordered 50 cases intially, so down the road when you start ordering more, shouldnt the price decrease? It looks like you have alot of profit in each case. But with these numbers, every 4th case you sell will be pure profit.

And why make scented paint? I understand the scent isnt pleasant, but when we are sweating while playing the game, honestly, do people really care what the paint smells like?

I know I am bashing and ranting, but this is all to help you. Or at least open your eyes a bit. If you don't listen to me, I will not be offended, these are just my opinions, and I know that there are people who do not agree with me, tough luck =P.

Looks like I'm going to do a test run on the stuff and I'll let you all know how it is. As long as it's not Chronic I'll be fine Smile

Also, I'll be able to test it with my Angel which will allow me to gauge it with other "high-end" paint. The paint settings on the gun make this possible. For instance, Chronic paint won't shoot thru a Mini and poses a problem for 07 Egos (in my experience). But, I can set my paint setting at 1 or 2 on the Angel and it shoots perfectly. This will make it so I can gauge how brittle it is. I hope that makes sense.

When I have more details/a review I'll post it up!

Heh, it's definately not Chronic. If you want Chronic though, I can get it for about 35/case(includes tax). But it's not chronic.

Now as for the paint itself. It's not a "No Brand Name" paint. The contract that we have with the manufacturer allows us to keep the identity of the paint a secret. The main goal of this project is to have our company name(TBA) associated with premium/tournament quality paint and hopefully other high end products. This paint actually MSRPs for $75.00.

The initial rate at $42.00 is only to cover most of the cost. We're actually losing money to have the paint sampled out in DFW. Overall, we're okay with this due to the fact that we feel $58 is extremely competitive for the quality itself. I will be meeting up with Lithium sometime on Sunday to give him a small sample that we received to test the product. We have 10 cases on it's way to sample out to some other people and teams(won't be here til sometime next week). Everything is being kept secretive to help us do some viral marketing and word of mouth advertising. Personally, I do not want to sell paint by the single case, that's why one box is rated at $64.95. Remember the first 50 cases will be meant to introduce the paint into this market and the $42.00 is sort of an inside joke *cough* *cough* Wink

As for the scent, that's just a fun bonus that will available in the future. The scent is not being calculated into the intial paint. If you want it scented, then that's a little more but it won't be available until after we get the 3rd skid of paint. Personally I think it's funny to make your opponents smell like a scratch and sniff sticker.

By the way, I don't mind hearing opinions at all. We've been planning this for approximately 8 months and the strategy that we're going will accomplish the goal that we were aiming for. Our target audience is tournament/speedball players, not the recreational or woodsballer. So we're going to be somewhat selective on our actual clientele. The cheaper paint that we're working on will be for the rec/woodsballer/practice players and we will post when that will be available.

Personally, I am not in the paintball industry completely(except for a few tournaments). The industry that I'm in and working at right now is helping me determine the type of marketing we're going after. We'll be catering to mid-level and high-end players. The plans for the shop in our opinion will be innovative and never seen before in this area. So with this project, we're hoping to build some excitement in this market. The line of work I'm in right now is only a 6 person crew, yet we're able to bring in about $1.1 mil a year due to the higher quality products we provide, repeat customers, and a 99% retention rate. As for returns, that's at a minimal amount(about 1 return every 2 1/2 months). I do not work at a car dealership. Razz

I will keep everyone posted on our progress. And if you're really interested in getting a case to try out at $42 before the price jumps, then send me a message with your name, the number of cases you want, and a phone number. As soon as the lot gets here we'll make arrangements so people can come by and pick these up. If you want to get a case for free, then good luck. You'll have to somehow convince me that you'll have the ability to bring people to buy paint from us.

My first impression with the paint is that it is quite amazing. I had a chance to shoot his Mini, and it was shooting nails.

Both types of paint were a great quality. The tourney quality paint was very bright and the fill was thick, as in, I HAD to use a towel to get it off.

I have not had a chance to shoot it in my gun, but from what I have seen so far, I think it is worth it. He redeemed himself hehe.

Lith, if you havent already, get a pod and test this out.
