Hey guys,
Well I'm new to paintball, my friend got me into it and I played for the first time last weekend and I loved it. So now I'm looking for a beginner marker, any recommendations?

Don't get an Ion...
no matter what anyone sais don't get it..

get a 07 PMR very cheap very efficient gun.
atleast i really liked it. it's light and has pretty decent FPS and accuarcy unlike a Ion..

PM me if you have any more questions..

Let us know what your price range is. I'd pick up an etek over any low end gun anyday.

200 or less = PMR, Ion, SLG
300ish = Mini, SFT Shocker
400ish = NXT Shocker, ETEK
500ish = Angel A1
600ish = 07 Ego
700ish = Nicer 07 Ego
800+ = 08 Ego

I buy and sell guns so if you want something particular let me know.

well he said he would sell me his 05 etek, the barrels, a cheap N2 aluminum tank, and a halo for $350. He said the barrels alone would sell for $200+. The only thing that worries me is that it is kind of an older gun, has anyone experience any problems with a 2005 etek before? Also if someone can give me a better deal....let's talk.

That's a pretty bad ass deal. It is an older gun, but they aren't hard to work on, and as long as he took care of it you'll be fine. What kind of barrels does it come with?

Freak tear drop barrel with reball and .691 insert
Two piece Whisper barrel
Evil Driver silver tipped barrel
and a JJ barrel, but he doesn't know what gun it's suppose to go on.

The only thing is I don't even know what to do with that many barrels, I don't know if I should buy it from him and sell the gun plus all the gear and get a newer gun. I don't think he would mind, he owes me for a favor that's why he's selling it to me for cheap. What do you think I could get for the gun plus the gear?

I mean I'm a beginner and I probably should get a low-end gun like a pmr, but they're like $250 new and that's not including the tank or the loader. I would rather get a mid-end gun with a loader and a tank for just $100 more.

Without seeing and shooting the gun it's hard to say, but you could expect to get around this for the...

ETEK - $300ish
Halo - $30-50 depending on upgrades
Barrels - $20-30 each
Tank - $30ish

Package is worth, IMO, $420-450 if you part it all out.

As long as it works and looks decent I'd pick that up over a PMR any day. Do you have any pics?
