Hey guys, I think I'm finally ready to get my own gun. Unlike my friend Miro, I don't have rich parents who don't give a shit, so I need something reliable and affordable that I won't have to replace in a few months. Lithium, I know, "quality and cost don't go together," but I'm just looking for an intermediate class gun. Make sense? I really don't care about a $90 HOPPER, AT THE MOMENT, I'm fine with the simple and clean.

So come on guys, help me out here. And it's getting increasingly difficult to make these posts while listening to music. Weird.

Admittedly, I've been out of paintball for a few years and am getting back in. I would recommend taking a serious look at the Smart Parts Vibe or SP-1. I'm waiting on my SP-1 to come in. The Vibe and SP-1 are mostly the same with the Vibe geared for Airball and the SP-1 for woodsball. I'll be using the SP-1 for both. Every paintball store person has had nothing but good things to say about it and Xdrenalin Zone stores keep selling of them. It's super easy to maintain. Because it does so well for the price Smart Parts put up some videos on their site. Click here to check them out here. I was skeptical at first that a $150 paintball marker could be that good, but I couldn't find anyone that doesn't love this marker. I used to be a hardcore Tippmann fan, but I now question whether I'll ever get another Tippmann.

Yeah man, I watched a few of those videos and the gun looks like a piece, but I was amazed at the performance. Good starter gun.

It's funny, because I went to Xdrenaline and asked the guy, and he said the same thing. So now that I have a few users' opinion, I'm probably going to go with the vibe. I LOVE that trigger on the Vibe. SP-1 had a good feel, but the trigger was the deciding factor for me. And plus, I will probably be more of an airballer anyhow.

well depending on positions you play and a good price range you have i would say some pretty good starter, great priced guns would be a:

1.redz ion= seen them shhot very sufficiant gun and i don't see very many problems with ions especially a redz

2. 07 PMR (proto Matrix Rail) very nice gun this one i actually used for 3 months the stock trigger sucks just get and ultralight frame and attatch the ultralight trigger to the gun it shoots like a drem
(EXTREMELY LIGHT GUN THAT CAN BE UPPED LIKE CRAZY)

3.depending on how much you want to spend Dm4 and Dm5's I think are pretty good i had a Dm4 upgraded to be about a Dm6 but if you are willing to spend about 350$-400$ bucks for one i would say do it although a Dm is full of O-rings and in some cases the break alot while you are playing but very cheap and as long as you have o-rings you can always lube em' and put them back on

soo those are my opinions
Pm if you would like some more tips/tricks/ or gun info.

I was up at Xdrenalin Zone on Saturday morning talking to them. They weren't aware of this, but Smart Parts does have a double trigger upgrade for the SP-1.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to change your mind. We're buying my wife a Vibe pretty soon. The Vibe has a great feel to it. From everything I'm seeing, you can't go wrong either way.

...and I'll have a review up of my new SP-1 next week.

PMR, Mini, base SFT Shocker. I'd need to have a price range to answer accordingly. I'm not against Ions, but I think you can get a much better gun for only slightly more.

I had a PMR and I loved it. It's super light and shoots fast and accurate. My girl has a Mini and it works just as well if not a bit better. Mini has more metal so I think it weighs more, but it's more compact.

I'd take a used pm/dm over a new vibe/sp1 any day of the week... looking at 100$ price difference.... and it's worth it.
